Michelin-starred chef Hélène Darroze unveils top-class cuisine to take away

M ichelin-starred chef Hélène Darroze has got into the lockdown spirit and is now providing her unique version of takeaway from her eponymous restaurant Hélène Darroze at the Connaught Hotel.

As you’d expect, this is still something of an event, comprising five courses and designed for two people to tuck into in the comfort of their own home.

The debut menu includes foie gras with celeriac, apple and pear chutney; Scottish scallops served in their shells and a Vol au Vent à la Française with lobster and ragout.

The cheese course features Basque speciality Ossau Iraty, complimented with a quince pâté, and there’s also a rich chocolate dessert and an end-of-meal canelé cake – one of the restaurant’s famous finishing touches. The meal arrives in delicate origami lotus-style boxes.

Darroze says she hopes the home delivery option will help to spread 'a little bit of positivity and joy with our food'.

She adds: 'As always, for me, supporting and showcasing our longstanding suppliers is my highest priority, and it’s never been more important than now.'

Hélène à La Maison is available to order via Slerp.com or collection from Hélène Darroze at The Connaught Wednesdays through Saturdays 3PM-6PM.

Contact helenedarroze@the-connaught.co.uk or call +44 (0) 203 147 7200. The five-course menu for two people starts at £180.
