The Le Marche Style House is a historic house with an adjoining chapel, dating from the 17th century. Recently reborn after a sensitive restoration, it sleeps 12 and is the ideal venue for private family holidays, weddings, events, and photoshoots.
Situated on a quiet country Strada Bianca, a white rural lane, 350 metres above sea level, overlooking the town of Apiro to the north and the picturesque village of Poggio San Vicino to the south, nestled in the foothills of Monte San Vicino, Le Marche Style House is a beautiful former monastery-turned gentleman’s villa.
Discovered six years ago as a sleeping romantic ruin, its renovation has succeeded in retaining its character and soul intact.
Complete with a swimming pool and a two-and-a-half-acre vineyard, the house offers the perfect combination for a classic Italian family holiday: a beautiful rural setting not far from the life, culture, and cuisine of picture-postcard Marchigiani towns.
The house comfortably accommodates three families, who can also browse in the library on the ground floor, relax in the large sitting room in front of an open fire and walk through the French windows into the garden and outdoor eating area under the shade of a beautiful oak tree opposite.
The house was restored according to the original room layouts, thus the rooms flow off the main central corridor with archways to the chapel – with its original baptismal font – at one end and the library at the other.
Outside, a swimming pool and terrace nestle among mature trees, including olives, pear, walnut, and grand oaks which complement the newly laid grass lawns and sweeping driveway around the property.
