The latest bespoke Mini Remastered is a little green gem

B ritish auto manufacturer David Brown has unveiled the latest in its Mini Remastered series.

At first glance these little Remastered gems look very similar to the 1960s classic – with all the compact, low-slung charm of the original – but the Brown versions are built to order using modern manufacturing processes and handle very differently to their illustrious ancestors.

That’s not all. There’s nothing rough ’n’ ready about these motors. The firm reckons around 1,000 worker hours go into creating each Mini Remastered and this latest example, finished in an elegant shade known as “Velvet Green” has undergone a complete transformation, with a completely rebuilt engine featuring brand new parts throughout.

Performance of course is much improved, the motor produces 30 per cent more power than the original unit and the Mini Remastered series also offers the choice of a four-speed automatic or manual four- or five-speed transmission.

Inside, seats and doors feature British-sourced and hand-trimmed leathers, plus embossed David Brown Automotive logos in the seat backs to remind you where you bought it.
